The images depicted here are blind embossed on fine, 100% rag printmaking paper. Although no ink is used, the delicate three-dimensional embossing creates the subtle image. When displayed with an angled light source, the image is more pronounced. Some smaller pieces are shaded for emphasis. Ray sculpts his dies and counter dies from various materials that can withstand the pressure exerted during the forming of the piece.

The three small shells, Scallop, Starfish, and Sand Dollar are furnished framed with 3/4” classic gold frames and floated on a light blue mat with a white top mat.They make an ideal set. The rest of the embossments are not framed but double matted and backed with foam core ready for your choice of frame. The inner mat is white with a black core smartly using the feature stripe to separate the mat from the print. The outer mat is eggshell . . . a neutral solution for any decor you may have.
