I borrowed this cast iron toy auto for a subject and I finally got around to painting it. When painting realistically the average person doesn't realize that all the details are before the artist. This small toy, approximately 4" tall and 6" long, is packed with the details of windows, doors, fenders, wheels and hood details and not to mention the chips of paint and highlights for the authenticity. An artist must make large decisions as to what to leave in and what to take out. It's really hard work! Although I'm exhausted when it's over, the same joy rushes through me knowing that it's done . . . and I like it. Ray
